More about I Need You

In 1993, I NEED YOU  was founded by Sabine and Uwe Gellermann whose aim was to sell European eyewear.

They are a a pair of certified master opticians.

I Need You was to create funky frames, reading glasses, sun glasses and sun reading glasses.

Initially, the company started off selling ready readers – reading glasses bought as and when needed.

This was followed by the emergence of INY-Sun wear, a collection of sunglasses,

Between 1999 and 2003, because of growth of the company it moved in to new premises in Volksdorf.

There they opened up a new branch of their business focussing on lenses.

Between 2007 and 2009 I NEED YOU introduced three new brands of lens and as a result  presented at a number of major optical fairs around Europe.

They also introduced FLXXreader – crafted from memory material with highly coated lenses.

I NEED YOU began to expand quickly in 2010 and 2011, agreeing partnerships with distributors in France, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
